Focus. Mind and Body
There are moments when a real time out from work, family and friends is essential. The Max Cita time out is rest and thought. There are the degrees of immobilization, different positions and hence the rest the body takes in. The mind can relax, with no decisions, no work. In rubber the tactile sensations of heat, wet, and pressure are more or less equal from head to toes. The static skin sensation has the power to relax, calm and open up thought to, tranquility, spiritual calmness. The get away from mechanical noise and other people is replaced with natures sensations of sound, smell, sight, and tastes. As on this page it was more than 18 hours floating from position to position. This relaxing day started very early in the morning with fog and mist whisking through the bush and around the cottage site. Later a light rain fell occasionally.
Standing in a fixed position can be work and may distract from the pleasure of being in nature if discomfort or tiredness sets in as it might in predicament situations |
The sensory deprivation technique used was to hold up so whether intentionally standing or just letting go and relaxing completely the sensation of comfort remained |
It was interesting to find the chest and neck restraint offered comfortable suspension to relieve the arms from any work in standing spread |

The Sounds of Silence |
|
Tree mummification was more completely relaxing than the spreadeagle position. As a guess Max slept several hours while held against the tree. |
|
Restrictive movement and minimal sensations made more of a very restful day of floating and snoozing for more than 7 hours |
|
This was a humour opportunity |
Meat on the chopping block? |
And it was all about perspective |
At the end of the day when darkness approached a sleep position |
This was an escape challenge. The wrists tied and then held under tension from the limbs above. The ability to undo the knots was a tiresome and frustrating challenge |
What was a very simple restraint took more than an hour to get free. |
